Jana Janderová, Ph.D.
About
Jana Janderová is a lecturer and researcher specialising in European Union law and the core values that guide European integration. She focuses on how fundamental principles—human dignity, democracy, equality, the rule of law, human rights and sustainability—shape EU public policies and influence governance across Europe.
In the FINDATA programme, she helps students understand how these values translate into the world of financial data analytics and sustainable finance. Her teaching emphasises the legal and institutional frameworks behind EU sustainability initiatives, including ESG principles, corporate responsibility, transparency rules, and the EU’s sustainable finance agenda. She guides students in understanding how law, values, and data interact in practice—for example, when assessing ESG reporting obligations, examining AI‑driven decision‑making, or evaluating the real‑world impact of sustainability policies.
Her broader academic interests include EU law, administrative law, administrative justice, and evidence‑based policymaking, with a strong focus on how digitalisation and artificial intelligence affect fairness, transparency, and the protection of fundamental rights.
Jana is committed to helping students see how European values are applied in real institutional and economic settings and how they underpin modern debates on sustainability, responsible data use, and the future of public administration. She participates in international projects and conferences on EU governance, rule‑of‑law protection, and innovation in public administration.
